Training for Military Fitness Tests
Military fitness standards — especially for combat arms and special forces — require a high aerobic base. The beep test is often just one component alongside push-ups, sit-ups, and timed runs. Treat all components together in your training.
For general entry (Level 7.5–10.1), a 6–8 week interval programme is usually sufficient for those with a basic fitness foundation. For special forces (Level 12+), expect 3–6 months of dedicated high-volume training.
